Sorry it’s been so quiet since my last post. Internet was down at our house and I don’t have a smartphone, so I enjoyed 4 peaceful days with no internet distractions! It’s amazing how much can get accomplished when you don’t have access to the internet!
In other news, we have a new picture of Whitney! I am SO excited to have more than 1 picture, and one that is recent! A living, breathing child of God just waiting for a family. It makes it so real and brings me to tears that we’re not there yet.
It’s been 11 days since we sent off our USCIS application and now we wait on our fingerprint appointments and an officer to be assigned to our case. We have heard of it taking 2 weeks for some and 3 months for others. We’re at the mercy of others. We are praying for a quick turnaround and for our case to be expedited since we are adopting a child with special needs and heart conditions. We hope it gets into the hands of the right people and that our case is looked upon favorably. I really can not stand one more week of waiting for her.
On another note, our first set of the dossier made it to Eastern Europe on Monday (in 3 days flat)! Our facilitator will be translating it in the coming weeks and get it ready to be submitted to the court once we get immigration approval. We’re coming as fast as we can baby girl!
I’m anxious for you. It gives me butterflies to think of how all of the waiting is making you feel. Hurry up and wait is so hard. Praying for your Mama’s heart.

As soon as you get your fingerprint appointment, go ahead and go get your fingerprints. They have been really great in Houston about taking people really early. You can even call them and ask them the best time to come. For us they wanted us to come around 1 and it cut a few days off.
