Older Orphans Available for Adoption

Last weekend our family attended a coffee with a missionary who works directly with orphanages in Eastern Europe. Born and raised in America, she understands the depravity these teens face and their desire and longing for a family. She also understands what these teenagers face once they age out of the orphanages. She passed out photos of older orphans available to adoption and asked each family to pray for them, advocate for them, and to send them birthday wishes every year on their birthday. A birthday card is something so simple yet SO meaningful to orphans whose birthdays often go overlooked.

This missionary has seen many orphans adopted since 2005. One such orphan was adopted by a family in our church and gave her testimony at her baptism last weekend. The missionary who has prayed for this teenager for many years was there to witness the transformation and redemption of a precious young lady who now loves the Lord. There wasn’t a dry eye in the sanctuary as we heard this young lady choke through her testimony of praying years for a family, how the Lord redeemed her physically and spiritually, and then seeing her father baptize her. I cry just talking about it!

Our family chose 3 orphans from the cards passed out. We’ve been praying diligently for them. My kids know them by first and last name and pray daily that they find a family (they actually ask if we can adopt them all).

Here’s where you can help. Spread the word about these orphans available for adoption. Share this post please. And pray for them. Time is ticking for each one.

Sasha1 {URGENT}

Sasha needs a family committed to adopt him soon. He will turn 16 in September and US immigration law says that a family must begin the adoption process before a child turns 16, so Sasha only has a few months for a family to commit to adopting him. He is in the 9th grade and is talented in school and sports. He loves the outdoors-playing basketball and soccer and has been rock climbing and camping. He has said many times that he would like to be adopted and have a family. TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR SASHA!!!

Sasha will turn 14 in May. He is in the 7th grade and is very small-the shortest in his class. He is a sweet boy who almost always has a smile on his face. His is gentle and loves hugs and is said to be shy.

Sweet Anastasia will turn 13 next month. She is said to have special needs. She is a sweet girl who loves to be hugged and held and she’s happy to talk to an adult and has a shy smile.

If you have any interest in adopting one of the orphans above or need more information, please email me and I can get you into contact with the missionary in their region. Tiffany@anothertexasfamily{dot}com

    Are there any others who still need birthday cards and, if so, could you share the relevant information?

      Chelsea, Anastasias birthday is next month and SAsha2 is in May. If you’re interested in sending a card let me know!

      • Chelsea says:

        Tiffany, I am definitely interested. We could do cards now and send them to you to go along with your cards or send them directly when it gets closer to their birthdays – whatever is easiest for you.

          Chelsea, I am sending out Anastasia’s early next week. You can send in an envelope with mine if you’d like. What state are you in?? I’ll need to send you specifics on what you can and can’t say.
