I intended to blog about Davis at one month old, but that first month was a whirlwind and major adjustment with a newborn. Alas, another month has flown by and he’s already 2 months old. Sniff.
2 Month Stats:
14 pounds (85th percentile)
24.5 inches (97th percentile)
The doctor said he’s huge and the size of an average 4 month old! I compared his height and weight to the older kids and he’s exactly the same size Aubrey was at 4 months!
People often ask about Davis and I get all the typical newborn questions. I usually hesitate in answering in length, because when I do, people often apologize. Listen, please don’t apologize. We think Davis is absolutely perfect in every way. In the way he sleeps, cries, eats, poops, and needs us. Every baby is different and every family is different in how they handle having babies.
So, yes, he wants to be held or carried 24 hours a day. He’s particular in the way he’s held. He nurses every 2 hours. He only sleeps well if he’s sleeping on our chest, which means he sleeps on Justin at night. He screams anytime we’re in the car or he’s in his carseat. He hates the baby swing and the bouncer. BUT….HE’S WORTH IT.
We love every.single.thing about our little man. We love every square inch of his squishy little body. We love his smell and his soft skin and the way he smiles at us through his paci.
We are eating up our time with him and happily carrying him around in our arms, because this mama knows it flies by in a second. Before long he’ll be running and eating dirt and being a busy boy and he’ll only stop in for a quick hug between playing with critters and balls. I can’t even stand the thought of it. The moments with him as a baby are fleeting, so excuse me while I go snuggle with my little man a little more.
